Reflecting on a Year of Giving: IC System’s 2024 Community Involvement

At IC System, giving back is more than a tradition—it’s part of who we are.

As we look back on 2024, we’re proud to share In the Community, our annual review of IC System’s presence and activity in our communities. From donation drives and fundraising events to volunteer efforts and sponsorships, this past year reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting education, wellness, and those in need.

Since 1938, IC System has operated with one mission in mind: Making Collections Better. That mission doesn’t stop at delivering great service—it extends into how we treat people and support the communities we serve. In an industry often challenged by negative perceptions, we stand out by focusing on what matters most: people. Our core values—People, Pride, Innovation, Performance, and Integrity—guide how we do business and how we give back.

One of the key ways we stay connected to our communities is through ECHO, our Employee Charitable Help Organization. Led by Nicole Mueller, Christine Leick, and Kelly Gomez, along with an amazing team of volunteers, ECHO continues to lead the way in organizing donation drives, fundraising events, and volunteer opportunities. In 2024, ECHO:

  • Raised $61,786 for charity
  • Donated 516 in-kind items
  • Collected 176 pounds of food
  • Logged 445 volunteer hour

These efforts supported organizations such as Special Olympics, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the Children’s Miracle Network, the American Cancer Society, and many more.

Nicole Mueller, who has been involved with ECHO since 2012, shared:

“I joined ECHO to get more involved in supporting the community and non-profit charities. While there are many reasons I continue to be a part of ECHO, the biggest one is the incredible feeling I get when I volunteer. Seeing the difference you can make by simply showing up to help is truly heartwarming. I’m proud to be part of IC System, where employees have consistently stepped up over the years to raise money, donate items, and volunteer their time.”

Nicole’s words reflect the spirit of service and generosity that runs throughout IC System. Our people consistently go above and beyond—not only for our clients and consumers, but for our communities as well.

As 2025 continues, we remain committed to building on this strong foundation of giving. Each year brings new opportunities to support our communities, and we’re excited to see what we can accomplish together.
